New president for Central Washington University

A dean at Kent State University has been named president at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

ELLENSBURG, Wash. —

A dean at Kent State University has been named president at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

The board of trustees named James L. Gaudino on Friday as the 14th president at CWU. He'll replace the retiring Jerilyn McIntyre in January.

CWU has about 10,000 students and 1,500 faculty and staff.

Gaudino has been at Kent State five years and is dean of the college of Communication and Information.
