New president at St. Martin's University

The St. Martin's University board of trustees has named Roy F. Heynderickx (HEN'-dricks) as the new president of the university.

LACEY, Wash. —

The St. Martin's University board of trustees has named Roy F. Heynderickx (HEN'-dricks) as the new president of the university.

He's currently vice president for finance and administration at the University of San Diego and will assume duties in Lacey on Jan. 1. Heynderickx is a native of the Northwest with bachelor and doctorate degrees from the University of Oregon and an MBA from the University of Portland.

He succeeds Bryan Johnston, who died in June, shortly before he was to begin work as Douglas Astolfi's replacement.

St. Martin's is a four-year Catholic university with 1,250 students on its main campus and 650 more in five extension campuses.
