Gonzaga has signed 6-foot-5 wing Mangisto (Man-GEESE-toe) Arop (Rop) to a letter of intent to play basketball.

SPOKANE, Wash. —

Gonzaga has signed 6-foot-5 wing Mangisto (Man-GEESE-toe) Arop (Rop) to a letter of intent to play basketball.

Arop was born in the Sudan and now lives in Hamilton, Ontario, where he plays on the Canadian junior national team.

His mother and four brothers left Sudan when he was 9-years-old and lived in Kenya prior to moving to Canada.
