LONGVIEW — Police are investigating a reported assault outside a Longview casino as a hate crime.
The victim is a Kelso man originally from India who asked another man for a light. Police say he accused the man from India of being a member of al-Qaida, followed him to his car and slapped him.
Police responded Saturday night and say they had to use a stun gun to arrest 28-year-old man from Clatskanie, Ore.
The Longview Daily News reports he was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail for investigation of malicious harassment.
