Democrat Mike Kreidler has won his third term as Washington state insurance commissioner.
He took an early lead of 57 percent to 43 percent Tuesday against Republican John Adams, who owns a Seattle-based insurance brokerage firm.
In his campaign, Kreidler touted accomplishments including cutting insurance rate increases by $200 million and helping Washington residents recover more than $107 million in delayed insurance payments. He also blocked an attempt by Premera-Blue Cross to abandon nonprofit status.
