More charges filed in death of Tuba Man in Seattle

King County prosecutors have filed robbery charges against a third 15-year-old boy who is implicated in a string of attacks that may have caused the death of street musician Edward McMichael, better known as Tuba Man.

SEATTLE —

King County prosecutors have filed robbery charges against a third 15-year-old boy who is implicated in a string of attacks that may have caused the death of street musician Edward McMichael, better known as Tuba Man.

McMichael died at his Seattle home Nov. 3 after he was attacked and beaten by a group of youths the night of Oct. 25 at a bus stop. Homicide detectives continue to investigate McMichael's death.

Before McMichael died, prosecutors filed robbery and fourth-degree assault charges against two 15-year-olds accused of attacking McMichael and robbing two other men.

On Monday, prosecutors filed robbery charges against the third boy, also a 15-year-old Seattle resident. He was arrested last week for investigation of murder.

A public memorial for McMichael is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Qwest Field Event Center in Seattle.
