Battery Street tunnel reopened after accident

The southbound lanes of Highway 99 at the Battery Street tunnel, which were closed early this morning following a multiple-car accident, was reopened about 8 a.m.

The southbound lanes of Highway 99 at the Battery Street tunnel, which were closed early this morning following a multiple-car accident, was reopened about 8 a.m.

Seattle police said the accident occurred about 6:30 a.m. at the south end of the tunnel.
