Copter rescues climber at Snoqualmie Pass

A Coast Guard helicopter has rescued an injured climber near Snoqualmie Pass.

A Coast Guard helicopter has rescued an injured climber near Snoqualmie Pass.

The Coast Guard says the copter from Port Angeles was able to reach the climber early today after high winds prevented another copter from completing the airlift.

A spokeswoman in Seattle, Jennifer Runion, told KIRO-TV the Coast Guard pilot used night vision goggles.

The climber was reportedly injured in a fall Sunday in the Snow Lakes area.

He was flown to Boeing Field where an ambulance took him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with head injuries.
