Teen's crash blamed on texting

A 16-year-old girl received only minor injuries after driving into a parked car in a Kent neighborhood Tuesday evening, said Kent Police Department spokesman Paul Peterson. "The first comment to the responding officer was, 'But officer, I just looked down to read a text from my boyfriend,' " Peterson said.

"The first comment to the responding officer was, 'But officer, I just looked down to read a text from my boyfriend,' " Peterson said.
