MEDFORD, Ore. — A 34-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting at a group of Medford teens, pleading no contest to multiple charges of attempted murder but refusing to say why he fired.

One of the teens was grazed in the back of the head during the gunfire in 2005.

Police say Ramon Cazarez Magdaleno of Compton, California, fired the shots after a group of teenagers on a rooftop and residents across an alley exchanged words.

Magdaleno fled to California but was arrested there in May. He entered his plea just before his trial was to begin earlier this week.
