Pierce County man run over by truck thief
The Pierce County sheriff's office says a man has been run over and killed by a thief taking his pickup truck south of Tacoma.
The Pierce County sheriff's office says a man has been run over and killed by a thief taking his pickup truck south of Tacoma.
Spokesman Ed Troyer says the man had started his truck and was working nearby before 7 a.m. Thursday when there was a confrontation.
Troyer says the thief jumped in the truck and ran over the owner as he fled. The man died at a hospital of his injuries.
Police are looking for a white 1998 Dodge Ram pickup with 20-inch chrome wheels and Washington license B61070G.
