A Des Moines man was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Seattle in a case involving Internet threats to shoot or blow up employees at Boeing facilities and at an Anacortes oil refinery.
Gino Augustus Turrella, 46, is charged with 16 counts of threat by instrument of interstate commerce and identity theft, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The indictment charges Turrella with making e-mail threats eight times between May 2 and May 30. He made the threats posing as other people by using e-mail accounts he'd created in their names, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
In the e-mails, Turrella said he was going to bring a gun to a Boeing facility and "shoot ever [sic] employee I see," and also that he'd "strap himself with explosives and detonate" if apprehended to cause "maximum death and destruction in the workplace!"
In another e-mail, Turrella threatened an Anacortes oil refinery, saying a bomb had been placed at the refinery that he was going to set off remotely.
Turrella was arrested Tuesday. When his home was searched, authorities found more than 100 firearms. He is in federal custody with a detention hearing set for Friday.

Warning lifted on drinking water
A drinking-water advisory for parts of Beacon Hill has been lifted. About 500 households lost water service Wednesday after a pipe broke, and Seattle Public Utilities advised that residents boil water after it was restored. SPU also handed out 975 gallons of bottled water.
SPU said residents should run water until it's clear.

Man's body pushed out of moving car
Police are investigating a suspicious death Thursday morning after a man's body was found after apparently having been pushed from a moving car off Airport Way South near Interstate 5.
A witness called police around 7:30 a.m. and reported seeing a man push the victim — who was not moving or breathing — from a 2005 KIA Rio at Ninth Avenue South and South Dakota Street, said Seattle police spokeswoman Renee Witt.
The victim is described as a white man in his 60s. He was found with a belt around his neck, but there were no signs of trauma, Witt said.
Police are looking for a black KIA Rio with the license plate 549 UXG.

Puget Sound Energy wants rate increase
Puget Sound Energy, seeking to pass through the higher costs the utility pays for purchasing natural gas, wants to raise its rate to customers.
The utility has filed with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission a request that would raise Puget Sound Energy natural-gas bills by 11.1 percent across all customers effective Oct. 1.
The rate change would bring the average monthly residential bill to $90.64 — about what the utility's customers were paying in October of 2006.
Last season, for the 2007-08 winter, lower wholesale natural gas prices contributed to an overall 13 percent rate reduction for utility customers.
