First-degree manslaughter charges have been filed against a man and teenage boy in connection with a fatal beating in May in Belltown.

Rory Koerber, 17, of Seattle, and Donald A. McKnight, 23, of Seattle, are each being held in King County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail and will be arraigned in King County Superior Court Aug. 28.

On 12:30 a.m. May 20, police responded to a 911 call in the 2000 block of Third Avenue to find 51-year-old Vance St. Clair semiconscious with head injuries. He died June 2.

From a nearby security-camera video and witnesses, police determined that a group of suspects chased, tackled and beat St. Clair, according to charging papers.
