Weekend closures planned on some Seattle streets
With parades, festivals and races on tap this weekend, several Seattle streets will be closed.
With parades, festivals and races on tap this weekend, several Seattle streets will be closed.
• Festival of the Fountains, from 6 p.m. today to 1 a.m. Saturday at the Pacific Science Center.
Streets closed: Second Avenue North from Denny Way to Thomas Street and Thomas Street from Warren Avenue North to Second Avenue North from 4 p.m. today to 2 a.m. Saturday.
• Capitol Hill Block Party from 3 p.m. to midnight today and 1 p.m. to midnight Saturday.
Streets closed: East Pike Street from Broadway Avenue to 12th Avenue and 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue, from East Union to East Pine streets until 9 a.m. Sunday.
• Ballard Seafood Fest, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in downtown Ballard.
Streets closed: Northwest Market Street from 20th to 24th Avenue Northwest, 22nd Avenue from Ballard Avenue Northwest to Northwest 58th Street, Ballard Avenue Northwest from Northwest Vernon Place to Northwest Market Street and Leary Way Northwest from Northwest Vernon Place to Northwest Market Street from midnight Saturday to 11 p.m. Sunday.
• Seafair Torchlight Run, 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Streets closed: Northbound Alaskan Way Viaduct and streets along the run routes from 5:30-8 p.m.
• Seafair Torchlight Parade, 7:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday.
Streets closed: Staging area on streets and parking lots on the east side of Seattle Center at 3 p.m. Route closed to traffic at 5:30 p.m. Parade begins at Fourth Avenue North and Broad Street, heads south on Fourth Avenue to South Washington Street, west on Washington to Second Avenue South, south on Second Avenue into the North Lot of Qwest Field.
