A man was stabbed early this morning as he was leaving his bachelor party at a Pioneer Square nightclub, Seattle police said.
The victim, 21, from Maple Valley, and some friends were leaving a nightclub at First Avenue South and South Jackson Street around 2 a.m. when he got into an argument with another man, said department spokesman Jeff Kappel.
The argument escalated into a shoving match, Kappel said. At that point, the assailant pulled out a knife, stabbed the victim in the chest and ran off.
The victim and his friends ran after the man, but he managed to slip into a beige sedan and drove north on Alaskan Way, Kappel said. It's unknown if anyone else was in car, he said.
The man remains at large. Police said it's unclear if he knew the victim.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening wounds, Kappel said.
