The Mariners have released first baseman Richie Sexson and put pitcher Erik Bedard on the disabled list.
The Mariners have released first baseman Richie Sexson and put pitcher Erik Bedard on the disabled list.
The team announced the moves before Thursday's game at Oakland.
Sexson was hitting .218 in 74 games with Seattle this season. He was signed in December 2004 to a four-year contract.
