An Aberdeen woman was arrested Saturday on suspicion of drunken driving after she was pulled over with her four children in the car, Oregon State Police said.

Carrie Ann Reynolds, 33, was on her way to Aberdeen from Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, where she had visited her husband, police said. Her husband is in the Air Force and is set to be deployed to Afghanistan in six weeks.

Reynolds was driving a Dodge Durango and towing a fully loaded 14-foot U-Haul trailer on Interstate 84 east of Portland when other motorists called police to complain about her driving.

Shortly after 4 p.m., Sr. Trooper Ken Poggi stopped Reynolds on westbound I-84 at an offramp in Wood Village.

Her four children, ranging in age from 21 months to 14 years, were in the car with her.

After roadside sobriety tests, Reynolds was arrested and taken to the state police office in Portland, where a breath test showed her blood alcohol level at 0.25 percent, police said. The state of Oregon's definition of intoxication is 0.08.

Her children were taken into protective custody and turned over to the Oregon Department of Human Services.

Police said Sunday evening that Reynolds' husband was traveling to Portland to pick up the children.

Reynolds was held at the Multnomah County Justice Center on one count of driving under the influence and four counts of child endangerment. All the charges are misdemeanors. Reynolds was released early Sunday morning.
