OLYMPIA — The Thurston County Sheriff's Office reports its dive team has recovered the body of a boy on the Nisqually River.
There is no word yet whether the body is that of 9-year-old Cameron McCartney, one of five people who were thrown overboard when a boat capsized on the Nisqually River on June 12.
Lt. Chris Mealy says a person who lives on the river discovered the body about 12:30 p.m. today. Mealy says the boy's identity will have to be confirmed by the Thurston County Coroner's Office.
The body of McCartney's 5-year-old brother, Sean, was found the night of June 12. The body of another missing boater, 32-year-old Bryan L. Pierce, was found on Friday.
The two other people on the boat that capsized, the McCartney brothers' mother, Erin, and 42-year-old Vincent Farler, made it safely ashore.
Farler was the boat's operator and was arrested on suspicion of three counts of homicide by watercraft after registering a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit when he took a breath test,
