Alcohol may have been factor in WA fatal wreck

A man and a woman died, and two people suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Clark County.

VANCOUVER, Wash. —

A man and a woman died, and two people suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Clark County.

The crash occurred about 10 p.m. on Friday. The Clark County Sheriff's Office says it believes the victims were in their 20s.

Fire District 6 spokeswoman Leah Lothspeich says the vehicle flipped several times and stopped on an embankment. She says the injuries to the other two people were considered life-threatening and they were taken to the Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver.

The sheriff's office is investigating the crash. It says excessive speed and alcohol may have been factors.
