Snohomish County sheriff's detectives are investigating a suspicious death in which a 49-year-old man was found dead inside his Sultan home Thursday.
A woman — who also lives at the house but is not related to the man — came home about 6 a.m. and found the man, police said. The house is located on the 12800 block of 311 Avenue Southeast in Sultan.
Sultan Police asked the Sheriff's Office to investigate the death, said department spokeswoman Rebecca Hover.
Detectives have not released any details about the man's injuries or described the scene. They interviewed people Thursday, including neighbors, as part of the investigation, she said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office removed the body late Thursday night, but has yet to rule on the cause and manner of death. Officials are waiting for autopsy results expected later today, Hover said.
The woman's elderly mother, who also lives in the house, was not injured, she added.
