What's open and closed on Memorial Day holiday.
• Most banks and credit unions closed.
• Most government offices closed.
• Post offices closed; no home-mail delivery.
• Schools and public libraries closed.
• State liquor stores closed.
• Residential-garbage pickup on regular schedules; city-transfer stations open.
• Most Metro Transit service on Sunday schedules, except for the Elliott Bay Water Taxi, which is on its Saturday schedule. All Metro business offices closed. Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel closed.
• Everett Transit, Pierce Transit and Community Transit, Dial-A-Ride (DART), ST Express Bus, Tacoma Link light rail and most Access routes on Sunday schedules; commuter and Boeing buses not in service. The Sounder commuter rail will not operate.
• State ferries' Edmonds-Kingston, Mukilteo-Clinton, Seattle-Bainbridge and Point Defiance-Tahlequah routes on holiday-sailing schedules. State ferries' Anacortes-San Juan Islands route on Sunday schedule, with an extra sailing from Orcas Island at 4:15 p.m. No Seattle-Vashon passenger-only service today. • As a day of remembrance, most cemeteries will be open from dawn to dusk.
• Also, parking is free today at Seattle's parking meters and pay stations.
