Richland WA chiropractor pleads guilty
A Richland chiropractor pleaded guilty in Benton County Superior Court in Kennewick today to a reduced charge of communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
Forty-six-year-old Jeffrey A. Sullivan admitted to kissing and inappropriately touching the preteen patient.
Sullivan was charged with second-degree rape of a child, but deputy prosecutor Adrienne Farabee agreed to amend the charge because Sullivan has no criminal history.
Court documents say Sullivan knew the girl from motocross events before treating her for a back injury last year. The court documents say Sullivan had "inappropriate sexual contact" with the girl in early November while riding around in his truck.
Sullivan's chiropractic license was suspended by the state of Washington this month.
Sullivan is scheduled to be sentenced June 25 in the criminal case. Farabee says she will recommend a two-month jail sentence ... which can be done through work release ... with 305 days suspended.
