NewsvineCowlitz PUD may add to Klickitat wind farm
Cowlitz County PUD commissioners are expected to decide in July whether to add 40 more turbines to the White Creek wind farm near Roosevelt in Klickitat County, 21 miles east of Goldendale.
Cowlitz PUD buys about half the output of the 89 existing turbines that generate enough electricity to power 38,000 homes.
The utility is looking to add to the power generated from wind, solar or geothermal sources.
