Slick thieves taking off with grease from Seattle restaurants

SEATTLE —

With higher fuel prices and the growing popularity of biodiesel, used cooking oil from restaurants has become a target of theft.

The Standard Biodiesel company of Seattle says it loses 30,000 gallons of oil each month.

The company is working with police to catch biodiesel home-brewers who have been helping themselves to barrels of grease left outside restaurants.
