Snohomish County man dies in motorcycle crash

A 28-year-old Everett man riding a motorcycle died near Lynnwood Monday evening, police said.

Joseph D. Jackson, 28, was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson when he crashed into a concrete sign post at 140th Street Southwest and 64th Avenue West shortly before 8 p.m., said Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Rebecca Hover.

Jackson was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene, she said.

No other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.
