Car crashes into Bellingham Starbucks
A car smashed through a plate glass window at a Bellingham Starbucks injuring five people before it stopped at the rear wall.
All five of the victims were conscious when they were taken to a hospital Tuesday, and the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police Chief Todd Ramsay says it was a rental car driven by a Texas man. No decision has been made on possible charges.
Witnesses describe a sound like an explosion as the car crashed into the building. It sent glass, cups of coffee and furniture flying as patrons tried to get out of the way.
One customer, Ingrid Martens, told the Bellingham Herald it was a miracle no one was under the car. She said the driver got out and began helping the victims.
