WA girl killed by train is named
A 17-year-old Kent girl who was killed yesterday when she was hit by a train while walking across railroad tracks has been identified as Angellina Rodriguez.
The King County Medical Examiner's Office made the announcement tonight.
Kent police say witnesses told them the teenager wasn't looking at the train and appeared to be talking on a cell phone.
The accident happened about 200 yards north of James Street, where there is no crossing control. It was reported at 11:45 a.m.
Police spokesman Paul Petersen says a cell phone was found in the immediate area.
