Pullman mayor Glenn Johnson hospitalized with high blood pressure

Pullman mayor, WSU professor and "voice of the Cougs" Glenn Johnson is in a hospital.

PULLMAN — Pullman mayor, WSU professor and "voice of the Cougs" Glenn Johnson is in a hospital.

A city of Pullman executive assistant, Michol Ann Jensen, says Johnson was taken to Pullman Regional last night for treatment of a high blood pressure spike. She says he had some short-term memory loss, but suffered no paralysis.

Jensen says city officials who have talked to Johnson and his wife this morning say he is recovering and regaining his memory. He'll be going to a Spokane hospital today for more tests and will be out a few days.

In addition to his duties as mayor, Johnson is a WSU communications professor and public address announcer for Cougar football and basketball games.
