Medina rich in property and squabbles
With Bill Gates as one of its residents, the Seattle suburb of Medina may be the wealthiest in the state.
The median household income is $170,000 a year and average home value in the Lake Washington waterfront community is over $2 million.
But wealth has not prevented squabbles in local government. The second city manger in a row resigned last month in a dispute with the city council. And the state auditor says the city has not been adequately tracking the police chief's credit card spending.
Former Mayor Miles Adam says part of the problem is dealing with people who are used to getting their way.
City leaders say they're trying to improve civility and organization. New Mayor Mark Nelson says he's trying to create the spirit "that we're all in this together."
