Gubernatorial candidate Dino Rossi says he wants to spend $15 billion on transportation projects across the state. Here's a quick look at his plan.
Key projects
• Replace the Highway 520 Floating Bridge with an eight-lane bridge.
• Widen Interstate 405 from Renton to Bellevue.
• Improve U.S. Highway 2.
• Improve state Highway 9.
• Extend and improve state Highway 167.
• Widen Highway 509 to Interstate 5.
• Build the Cross Base Highway in Pierce County.
• Replace and improve the I-5 Columbia River Bridge.
• Construct the North Spokane Freeway.
• Replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct with a tunnel.

Source of the money
• $7.7 billion from the state sales tax on new and used vehicles.
• $2.4 billion from eliminating the state sales tax on transportation projects.
• $690 million from Sound Transit's account for Eastside projects.
• $721 million from tolls on the new 520 bridge once it is completed in 2014.
• $1.6 billion in existing 520 bridge funding.
• $2.3 billion in anticipated viaduct funding.
Other proposals
• Eliminate sales tax on purchases of hybrid, electric and alternative-fuel vehicles for the next 10 years.
• Add $368 million to the Ferry Capital Account, to build ferries and improve terminals.
• Open car-pool lanes to all traffic during off-peak hours.
• Spend $200 million to fix salmon-blocking culverts.
