GRANGER, Wash. — A man has died after being shot during a fight in Granger.

According to a news release from the Yakima County sheriff's office, 24-year-old Paul Erik Lopez died Sunday in surgery at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

Lopez was shot once in the upper abdomen about 2:30 a.m. and died about 6 ½ hours later.

Granger police say 30 to 40 people were at a house at the time of the shooting, but investigators have been given little information. Police say the circumstances of the shooting are unclear but it apparently occurred outside the house.
