Seattle University sociologists study complaints of police bias

Two Seattle University sociologists will research claims from the NAACP that police treat the poor and people of color differently.

The sociologists, Mako Fitts and Gerry Perry, will attend police accountability forums conducted by the NAACP. The first one will be next Thursday in Seattle at Garfield Community Center.

The Seattle-King County NAACP president, James Bible, says some police departments lack the infrastructure to handle misconduct complaints.
