Suspect Tasered in Interbay after wild ride, carjacking

A suspect trying to flee police Wednesday night in Seattle's Interbay neighborhood crashed into another driver, jumped out of his car, and carjacked a vehicle before he was Tasered by an officer and arrested, police said.

A suspect trying to flee police Wednesday night in Seattle's Interbay neighborhood crashed into another driver, jumped out of his car, and carjacked a vehicle before he was Tasered by an officer and arrested, police said.

The collision on 15th Avenue West near West Dravus Street left the accident victim trapped inside his car. Fire authorities extricated the man and took him to Harborview Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The suspect was also taken to the hospital.

Police closed 15th Avenue West for three hours overnight to conduct an investigation.
