BEAVERTON, Ore. — A 36-year-old Washington state man accused of raping a child last month has been arrested in Oregon.

Wilfredo Santos of Yakima was found hiding in an upstairs bedroom at a family member's house in Beaverton Wednesday night after officers from a joint state and federal task force yelled repeatedly for him to surrender.

Santos was being held at the Washington County jail in Hillsboro, Oregon, on a Washington state warrant.

The warrant alleges the rape victim was under 7 years old. Police said Santos has previous convictions for assault.
