The National Weather Service is warning of heavy snowfall at Snoqualmie Pass through Wednesday.

There could be one to two feet of snow in the pass by Tuesday and an additional foot by Wednesday.

"The crews have been fighting this (heavy snowfall) all winter," said Alice Fiman, with the state Department of Transportation. The DOT is not recommending travelers avoid the pass, but said it's better to travel during daylight when the temperature is warmer.

She said all cars should carry chains, even those with four-wheel drive. Twice this winter, she said, four-wheel drive vehicles were required to put on chains.
