An impatient teenager who wanted to download songs on his iPod but couldn't wait for his father to get off the computer started a family fight that led to the arrest of his mother, police said.
According to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, a 46-year-old Kingston man was using the computer Friday when his 13-year-old son demanded to use the computer so he could download songs for his iPod. Police said the father refused, but when he left the room for a moment, the son took over the computer and began downloading songs.
When the man took the iPod away as a punishment for disobedience, the boy attacked his father, biting a chunk of skin off his finger and kicking him in the groin several times.
The 44-year-old woman then entered the fray and punched her husband in the face several times, scooped up the teen and left, according to sheriff's deputies.
The woman told deputies she thought her husband of 20 years was too strict with their son and shouldn't have taken away the iPod, police said.
The woman was arrested and booked into the Kitsap County Jail for fourth-degree assault, police said. The teen's involvement in the fight was reported to the Kitsap County Juvenile Division.
