A Puyallup man who police say was racing in his car along westbound Highway 512 near Puyallup was killed when his car collided with a semi-truck this morning.
The man, 30, was killed after he lost control of his car and crossed the median, striking an eastbound semi-truck head on near Portland Avenue East around 2 a.m., according to the State Patrol
The truck driver, 45, was treated for minor injuries and released, the State Patrol said. Another semi-truck and four other vehicles were damaged by debris from the collision.
Both lanes of eastbound Highway 512 near Puyallup were blocked for several hours, but all lanes have reopened, according to the state Transportation Department.
