The bodies of a man and woman have been found at the Frye Hotel, an old hotel that was converted into low-income apartment units in the 1970s.
A manager at the 223-unit apartment building called 911 around 2:25 p.m. today to report that two people were in a kitchen and weren't moving, said Seattle police Sgt. Deanna Nollette.
Police said the manager went to check on the occupants of a unit on the third floor after hearing a dog barking from the unit for the past two days. The occupants are believed to be a 28-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man.
Dave Williams, a resident of the building, said he has known the woman for several years. He believes she had recently married, but it was unknown if the second body was that of her husband.
Police homicide investigators are now on the scene at 223 Yesler Way.
