Federal Way police today arrested a man with a live grenade who said he was on his way to blow up the Federal Building in Seattle, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The man was stopped by police on northbound Interstate 5 near South 317th Street this afternoon during a routine traffic stop. During the stop, the officer realized the man had a live grenade, according to the State Patrol.

Federal Way police could not be immediately reached for comment.
