Longtime Seattle strip-club figure Frank Colacurcio Sr. was convicted Tuesday for a second time of misdemeanor assault for groping a waitress at Rick's strip club in 2004.
Colacurcio, 90, initially was convicted of the crime in a 2005 trial in Seattle Municipal Court. The verdict was overturned on appeal last year when a judge ruled that Colacurcio's attorneys had not been allowed to adequately challenge the credibility of his accuser.
The Seattle City Attorney's Office pursued a second trial. A jury Tuesday found Colacurcio guilty of fourth-degree assault.
The accuser, Lauren Luttrell, testified that while she was working at Rick's in 2004, Colacurcio offered her $1,000 to go home with him and "be lovey." When she refused, Luttrell said, Colacurcio pinched her breasts through her clothing.
Rick's, in Lake City, is operated by Colacurcio's son, Frank Colacurcio Jr.
Sentencing has been set for Oct. 4.
Luttrell filed a civil suit against Colacurcio over the groping incident. That suit was settled in 2005. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
An attorney for Colacurcio could not be reached for comment.
Colacurcio faces a separate trial early next year on charges he participated in a scheme to funnel illegal campaign contributions to three Seattle City Council members in 2003.
