A man was arrested Sunday night in the firebombing of a Rainier Beach-area video store, according to Seattle police.
A clerk and her 9-year-old son were inside the store when a firebomb was tossed through the front door of Rainier Video, causing a fire, according to a police report. Both the clerk and the boy were able to leave the building unharmed.
Seattle Fire Department was called shortly after 7:40 p.m. to 5103 South Rose Street, and the fire was put out after units arrived.
The fire caused about $2,500 in damage, but no one was injured, according to the police report.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail, police said.
