Another Fort Lewis soldier has been killed in Iraq.
The Pentagon says 22-year-old Specialist Victor A. Garcia of Rialto, California, died Sunday in Baghdad of wounds suffered from enemy small arms fire.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.
The News Tribune of Tacoma reports Garcia is the 15th member of the brigade to be killed since the unit arrived in Iraq in early May and the 137th Fort Lewis soldier to die in the war.
