Redmond
Three child-molestation charges have been brought against a former youth leader at a Redmond church.
The charges were filed against Brent Alan Krum, who was arrested in March after a girl contacted police, saying Krum had molested her during the summer of 2004, when she was 15.
According to the charging papers, the girl, who knew Krum as a youth leader at the Summit View Church in Redmond, broke off contact, last speaking to him in November 2004. The documents said she went to police after Krum tried contacting her again this year.
He has pleaded not guilty to one count of third-degree child rape and two counts of third-degree child molestation.
Police said they have found computer evidence indicating Krum may have had relationships with others at the church, said Detective Brian Coats.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Redmond police investigations unit at 425-556-2581.

Kaluzny withdraws from council race
Kate Kaluzny withdrew her name Tuesday from the City Council race for Position No. 7, citing personal reasons.
Kaluzny, a retired civil-rights and family-law attorney, announced her candidacy two weeks ago. Councilman David Kappler and resident Bill Werner are vying for the seat.
Nancy Davidson had held Position No. 7, but she submitted her resignation last June to spend more time with her family. Last summer, the City Council considered nearly a dozen candidates for the spot and chose Joe Forkner, a former councilman, to finish the term, which expires at the end of the year.
