Metro updates its bus service Saturday, and changes are slated for several Eastside routes.

Elsewhere in the county, Seattle's Fremont Bridge will reopen to buses, and more trips will be added to three South King County routes.

On the Eastside:

• Route 111 will no longer travel on Northeast Seventh Street and Kirkland Avenue Northeast in the Renton Highlands, but will instead operate on Monroe Avenue Northeast and Northeast 10th Street.

• Route 202 shuttle trips that were added during reconstruction of the Mercer Island Park-and-Ride lot are being reduced to three morning and three evening trips. The opening of the lot has been delayed.

• Route 291 will no longer travel on Northeast 90th Street between 161st Avenue Northeast and 154th Avenue Northeast in downtown Redmond, but instead on Northeast 85th Street and 154th Avenue Northeast.

• On Route 644, between Kenmore and Kingsgate, the first trip in the morning and the last two trips in the afternoon will be discontinued.

In South King County, Route 166 will have a new early-morning weekday trip from Kent to Des Moines, leaving the Kent Station at 5:45 a.m.

There will be more bus service on Route 180, which serves Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the Burien Transit Center, during midday hours on weekdays and all day on weekends until about 6 p.m.

Evening service on Route 181 between Federal Way and Auburn will be extended to run every 30 minutes until about 9 p.m. weekdays, with hourly service extended until 11 p.m.

All the service changes are available on Metro's Web site, http://transit.metrokc.gov/, or by calling Metro rider information at 206-553-3000.
