Warehouse fire erupts at Port of Tacoma

KING 5 news staff

Flames and black smoke poured from two storage buildings outside a warehouse at the Port of Tacoma this morning.

The fire started around 8:30 a.m on East Alexander Avenue.

Reports say the fire burned two storage buildings. All the workers inside got out safely. The department's fire boat helped prevent the fire from spreading.

Tacoma Fire dispatchers say the warehouse contained paints and fiberglass.
