KELSO — A woman has been charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of her boyfriend's 12-year-old son, whom she'd let drive, resulting in an accident that killed the child.
Kelley Hill, 34, of Woodland, is to be arraigned March 27 in Cowlitz County Superior Court. Her bail was reduced Tuesday from $500,000 to $25,000, but she remained jailed.
Hill was in the passenger seat of an automobile on Feb. 26 when Jake Fry, son of Hill's boyfriend, Loren Fry, lost control of the car and slid into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Jake was taken to Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, but he died the following night.
