Teen girl stabbed during fight Tuesday in SeattleSeattle Times staff A teenage girl was sent to the hospital with stab wounds Tuesday evening after another teen assaulted her on a bus and then on a sidewalk, Seattle police said. Police are investigating the 7:45 p.m. stabbing at Third Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Seattle, police spokesman Sean Whitcomb said. The fight between a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman began on a Metro bus, Whitcomb said. At some point during the fight, the 18-year-old pulled a knife and began stabbing the younger girl, he said. The victim, who suffered superficial, not life-threatening wounds, was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The attacker was pursued by witnesses until she was caught by police several blocks away, Whitcomb said. Copyright © 2007 The Seattle Times Company
