Thursday, December 21, 2006 - Page updated at 11:17 AM Denver snow affecting flights at Sea-TacSeattle Times staff reporter Every flight from Seattle to Denver has been cancelled today because of a snow storm that has slammed Colorado. The Denver airport, which was also closed Wednesday, isn't expected to reopen until noon tomorrow at the earliest, said Bob Parker, a Port of Seattle spokesman. Travelers who were to change planes in Denver before flying on to their final destinations elsewhere may be able to work with their airlines to be routed through another city, Parker said. "But the people who will lose out here are those whose final destination is Denver," he said, since there will be fierce competition to get on airplanes that are either full or nearly full. Each airline has its own policies and regulations when dealing with weather-related cancellations, Parker said. Copyright © 2006 The Seattle Times Company
