Shooting leaves one dead in Puyallup

Puyallup police arrested one man and are searching for another in connection with a fatal shooting early this morning.

A man was shot dead around 4 a.m. in the 500 block of 10th Avenue Southeast, said Puyallup police spokeswoman Lorri Ericson. Police evacuated residents from a three-block area along 10th Avenue Southeast and have set up a perimeter, she said.

Sometime after 8 a.m., one man was found somewhere within the police perimeter and was taken into custody, Ericson said. Police are still looking for a white male in his early 20s who was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts, she said.
