Traffic in south Seattle will be snarled for much of rush hour today as police investigate the crash. At about 1 p.m., a 17-year-old boy apparently lost control of his car, drove onto the sidewalk and struck the bicyclist in the 100 block of Highland Park Way Southwest, said Seattle police spokesman Rich Pruitt. The teen is being questioned by police. The man who was struck died at Harborview Medical Center. Police would only say he is an adult from Seattle.
